So, if you are going to have a party tomorrow night, what is going to happen tonight?

Well, you'll walk into your kitchen and find the sink faucet spraying water across the counter and into a bunch of drawers.

Lots of wet stuff that shouldn't be wet, lots of water on the floor running into the living room. Who knows how long it was spraying?

Mimi says that Hombre came into the office and started to whine at her but she didn't realize it was because water was running into the room where he was sleeping... he tried to tell her.

I eventually found it when I came in from the terrace and heard something weird. We had a great mopping party and ordered a pizza.

You know, that's one of the things I love about this place - it's a city and I can call the pizza place and they know my name and my address and that I usually order a vegetenaria grande. Half an hour and the guy pulls his scooter up on the sidewalk right in front of the door and beeps. I LOVE living in a real city!

ps: I broke into one of the bottles of wine I bought for the party. Life is like that.

We've got the mops. The good news is that Mimi had just found the receipt for the faucet so poor Alan got a call at 6pm to come in the morning for the receipt and the faucet to return.

Meat on pizza?? What? Are you from New York or something? We Californians like our pizza with pesto sauce and spinach thank you very much. Messina's doesn't have that but it is pretty good. I'd go for a shrimp pizza though, I just hate pepperoni and those other mystery meats.

Ah, you should always listen to Hombre (and Chica). Those two know their stuff!

Don't let that broken faucet dampen your spirits for the party. Have a GREAT time - if you are drinking single malt scotch - think of me ;-)

Oh man, sorry about your unexpected pond! I'd have cracked open two of those bottles I think. :) Did kitty help with clean up, she looks like she wants to!

Be grateful that the source of water was easily found...wait until it seeps in and you have to find out where the leak is....ahh..the sound of water is so calming...isn't life grand.

Welcome to home ownership! Just wait until the swimming pool has a leak! We found ours, now getting it fixed is another issue. I guess we should order a pizza! Hugs.

Sorry about the timing of the water problem - stress you didn't need, but sounds like the pizza and wine made it all better. We had a flood last week too - the drainage hose from the washing machine popped out of the drain and flooded the entire downstairs. I was sitting in the living room when I saw the water creeping in - just in time to get the power supply for the laptop up off the floor. Gave the grout a good cleaning.

I'm not sure that the delivery service is limited to living in the city. Here on Isla I call for pizza or roasted chicken and tell them the name of my colonia (no street names), and they say "where the green golf cart is?". And then they are there within half an hour, beeping with our food. Wonderful service!

I hope you all have a wonderful time this weekend. Looking forward to reading the blogs about it. Enjoy!
