Chica has done it again! Almost exactly one year after the last time, she managed to get her jaw stuck through a bone again.

I got the dogs bones for their birthday and somehow she managed to stuff her lower jaw through the hole and get stuck. I'd given her a smaller bone because of the last time she did it but she stole Cuba's bone which was larger.

This time Mimi didn't have to use the hacksaw, she was able to get it off with snips. No more leg bones unless I get them cut in half. Silly girl.

Now that's not a problem you see very often. Getting your jaw caught in a bone. I've never had to get a dog out of that situation. Little alone twice.

Jiggs is the only dog I have owned who has done the same thing twice. Both times, it took a trip to the vet to free him. I am convinced that some dogs are so obsessive-compulsive that they drive themselves to behavior that would kill them in the wild. Now, where on earth would a dog pick up those neuroses?
