We got back from Akumal last night late. It was a fun trip and we got to have lunch with 2 of our favorite people there and meet their new daughter.
Mimi got a laugh from her, dogs and kids all seem to find Mimi funny.
I did check email a couple times but it wasn't easy. To get on the office wireless connection, I have to stand in the bathroom and hold the laptop about half way up the window. It didn't make me want to do much online.
Mimi went out to Chelem this morning to unload the RV of all the stuff we brought back from Akumal. I've been putting things away and then searching for things I already put away. I have to open a dozen drawers for every search and usually try it in a couple of rooms too.
Plus, there are rings and buzzers and beeps and chatty little music clips going off all the time and I can't figure out what to answer. This house thing and multiple phones and intercoms is going to take me awhile.
The only phone I really know and understand is my iPhone and damned if I didn't leave the charger for it over in Akumal. Panic! I just called Manuela and she found it plugged in next to the bed. She took it to our downstairs neighbors who are on their way to Merida tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I am trying not to use it but all my numbers are in it and I don't really understand how to dial out on the house phone.
I have never felt like such a stupid old lady before, I'm overwhelmed by all these devices and I really wish they would all... Just. Shut. Up.
I love this pic of Paula and Stephen and their 2 dogs in the water in front of our condo. The weather was perfect and we celebrated Stephen's birthday while we were there.
Aquarians Rule!! (but this aquarius needs to spend some quality time with all the manuals for all the devices in this house, along with a spanish-english dictionary)

Awww, look at Tia Mimi with that cute little thing! She really is good with kids, isn't she? Good luck getting all the bells and whistles sorted out, I would probably be as frustrated as you, yet I wouldn't know how to work the iPhone either so you're one step ahead of me.
Happy unpacking!
Ha Ha Ha....it's good to see your funny posts and beautiful photos again.
Glad the trip was enjoyable.
Welcome Back
Mic
Belated Happy Birthday Amiga!
Just getting better I imagine...
Jonna -- I took Jiggs into the vet today. The vet is starting to worry about the effect the cortisone is having on Jiggs's liver and kidneys -- but he sees no other treatment option. After his shot today, he is almost frisky, but old. Thanks for all you have done concerning information.
I know too well your feeling about odd beeps and buzzes. I am trying to learn about wifi connections with my new laptop -- and how to use a webcam. Every time I turn around there is a new noise.
hi, i was browsing the www and i found your blog. the photos of the baby and the beach are wonderful :)
Jonna, try looking for the manuals online in English. I did that for something that I gave a friend, the directions were in English and I found them online in Spanish.
Not knowing how to use the phones reminds me of a joke....
regards,
Theresa
Been reading your blog for awhile. We are coming to Merida, so I will have a better sense about it when I read your blog in the future. Love your house, incredibly beautiful. I know you are a blogger not a travel agent but have any suggestions of nice inexpensive places to stay when in Merida? I have always wanted to see a Colonial city, so excited.
