David and Tandy brought us this Phalenopsis orchid, beautiful and healthy. It's my 2nd orchid and I really love it.

I'm starting to plant the outside pond. I can't get the PH below 9 - probably because of the concrete - and I've decided that it really doesn't matter much out there.

Today Mimi and I walked to the local fish store and bought 10 silver mollies and 10 rainbow mollies. They are zooming around in that huge pond. I'm off to pick up some ferns this afternoon to start on the rocks.

We brought a large log over from Akumal a few weeks ago, some kind of very heavy hardwood. Today we put it in the pond, suspended on some rocks. I'll plant on it and hopefully it will also help to lower the PH of the water.

While we were in the fish store, the owner was on the phone and suddenly asked me if I spoke English. I said yes and he handed me the phone and told me that the caller wouldn't understand that it was an aquarium store.

I said "Hi, Can I help you?" There was a long pause and then a guy said "Wow, that's so weird" He then told me that he wanted a cab to the airport. I explained that he had the wrong number, it was an aquarium store, and that I was sorry but I didn't know the right number for him. He thanked me and hung up.

The whole thing made me laugh. I know the feeling when you are concentrating so hard in another language and then suddenly you get a response in native US English. It IS weird.

The fish store owner said that he had been trying to tell him that it was a wrong number but the guy kept giving him his address. The whole thing was one of those wonderful disconnect moments.

Wow Jonna the orchids are the pixs. I wanted to comment on the junk drawer. Last time we moved, I packed 2 junk drawers. What the hell is all of this stuff.. You made me think about it today, enough to write about it. It looks you two are sculpting a beautiful home. Cheers, Sherry
