Travel notes from Mimi and Jonna
Since September of 2001, Mimi and I have lived in our 27' RV, Tortuga, spending winters in Mexico and Central America and summers in the US. We've had a condo on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, in Akumal, for over 10 years and in 2007 we bought a 100+ year old colonial in Mérida that we are starting to renovate. We lived with our 2 Yucatan beach dogs Hombre and Chica for 4 years and in October of 2007 we added another rescue, Cuba. It's getting crowded but once the house is done we will have lots of room, maybe too much room. I wonder sometimes if we will all get lost in so many rooms.

I have been fapped twice since the new year - not watching the downloads - ugh!
I just go away from the computer for that day (entire).
Also seems that they penalize more than 24 hours - more like 26.

Sorry Mic, I put a link but they are hard to see. If you are on satellite internet, Hughes only allows you a certain number of mgs download before they cut your service to a crawl. Our neighbors here were using our signal and their computer did an automatic update download putting us over the limit. So, for the last 24.5 hours - I timed it and it was a half hour over the stated 24 - our internet speed was about half the speed of the old dial up modems. Pretty much impossible to do anything except email. Web pages with pictures or graphics time out and quit before they load. Very frustrating, no warning, just wham! you are dead in the water.
Just goes to show that you can't always choose your nieghbours, must be a dodgy area to live in I suppose!! Still, at least they are not Canadian !! Ho Ho!

Jonna -- I could not find your email. Jiggs's cortisone is marketed as Depo-Medrol. The active ingredient is methylprednisolone acetate. My vet says it is a rather standard cortisone product.
Last time we were FAPped it was a 26 hour time out too. We had the same experience once on the Emerald Coast when our neighbors had an automatic update. Either that or too much porn. :)

Go into telcel and sign up for their PC broadband, you get a modem looks like Satelitte radio antenna with a USB connection. The cost is 437 pesos per month no limit on usage.
Steve, I've got that in my iphone now and will check tomorrow.
mycomitan, I have data on my iphone and do use it. We have had this Hughes sat for 5 years and it is great when there are no other options. The data from Telcel would not work over 3G at our place in Akumal, only EVDO which is even slower than the sat. Soon... we will be in the house with infinitum and only need to use the sat in Akumal.
