Mary Kay mansion.Just to put our little house in perspective, the other day in Mérida Mimi and I went to see another house being renovated.
This one is a mansion, I'm not fond of pink but when I try to imagine it some other color I come up blank.
I'm not actually sure if it is a renovation or a new build, everything appears to be new.
I can't help but try and imagine what it would be like to live in a house like this. Of course, we aren't as formal as the house seems to require. I can't imagine 3 big dogs and an RV parked in front. Kind of the Beverly Hillbillies come to Mérida.

What a cool looking house.
The stained glass transoms look old to me. Made me think about architectural salvage. In my past life I restored a 1907 Craftsman in Seattle, and made use of a lot of architectural salvage for missing parts. Do they have a lot of that in Merida? I have just heard that there are four places here in Mazatlan but we haven't found them yet. I would really love new ironwork for the back door and some old shutters for our front windows.
The house looks like a major restoration/remodel to me.
The concrete pond looks like a concrete lap swimming pond.
It is a beautiful house but not my style either. It seems a bit pretentious. I am not sure if my flip flop and capris dress style would be welcomed there. However, if someone were to give me that house I imagine that I could fit in and live there with no problem. But the pink would have to go!
