Good news! Tita is negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline HIV which are endemic in feral cats down here. This is really, really, good news and I've been worrying about this test for weeks. On the other hand, she was a holy friggin terror at the vet. They had to tape her claws and it took 4 people to hold her down to take a blood test. The whole time she was screaming like a possessed banshee, really it was something from Exorcist. No one could believe how hard she fought, how loud she screamed and how she just never gave up trying to bite or scratch poor Dr. Nelson.
Now we are off to look at kitchen faucets. I'll have a house update soon.

Having had several cats during my lifetime I never yet found a cat that didn't put up a fuss while visiting a vet. As for the taping of the claws, what a wonderful idea!

Okay, all the cute kitten fotos have made up for the fact that you haven't posted in over a week! But hubby says to quit because you're making me want one :) But I don't think I could ever find one as cute as Tita! So for now I'm content to just be Tia Cheryl....
Remember when Mimi put the big clip on the scruff of China's neck so the vet could take her stitches out? It calmed her right down! Did you try that with Tita? Might work with Tita next time...
Tita is the most adorable slice of pure evil I've ever seen! LOL! Maybe we could slip her some Prozac or MaryJane- always works for me when I get myself all riled up like that hahahahahaha!
Most of my cats have been so scared and traumatized by the car ride to the vet that they are docile and almost catatonic once he starts looking at them. Mexico Cooks' cat China though was not having any of it, Mimi used a clip to stimulate that area behind their neck where mom picks them up, it usually makes cats really docile to squeeze that. No one could find the right spot on Tita though, she just kept yowling like a werewolf. Maybe she didn't get carried there enough? We're thinking a little valium next time, we ain't got no stinkin' Prozac or MaryJane around here!!
I'm so glad to see someone that is taking such good care of our feline friends. Good to hear that the test results showed a negative!

poet: meet my current cat, Simon. The only cat in my life that loves the vet! He actually purrs while getting a shot! Also, that neck thing works. Calms my other cat down right smart quick!
I had a Manx cat when I was young and she was like that all the time if she didn't like someone but with me, she was a sweetie
