Oops! Spoke too soon about leaving tomorrow. Turns out the Jeep's brakes are a mess. We need to have all 4 replaced completely. Yes, it's expensive but we haven't had to put this kind of money into the jeep in the 4 years we've owned it. It's cheaper here in Oregon, no sales tax and lower labor charges, and we have a lot of confidence in this place. So, we've called and told our mammogram appointments that we may not make it and we will stay here until the jeep is completed. We're comfortable here with fast wireless, electricity and good weather.

Our Info
Since September of 2001, Mimi and I have lived in our 27' RV, Tortuga, spending winters in Mexico and Central America and summers in the US. We've had a condo on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, in Akumal, for over 10 years and in 2007 we bought a 100+ year old colonial in Mérida that we are starting to renovate. We lived with our 2 Yucatan beach dogs Hombre and Chica for 4 years and in October of 2007 we added another rescue, Cuba. It's getting crowded but once the house is done we will have lots of room, maybe too much room. I wonder sometimes if we will all get lost in so many rooms.
